GaBhaRa- the essence of Bhava and Rasa is a platform which encapsulates varied themes and motifs about Indian dance and culture. It is a one-of-its kind platform which brings to the fore a wide variety of topics related to tradition and dance. Our aim is to explore and promote the rich Indian culture and it's traditions.
The nuances of art and culture add colors to life and play an essential role in sustaining our identity. Behind every story - every performance lie varied emotions and aspects which give the performance it's uniqueness, it's identity. Our platform brings out these emotions and the Rasa in every action a dancer performs. Through our platform, we try to connect the core values of dance with the contemporary concepts. Our vivid content aims at giving a wide perspective of dance and the broad disciplines associated with it to every aficionado of art.
GaBhaRa has created and collaborated on a number of dance video projects and created short productions for its YouTube channel. GaBhaRa has introduced an online lecture series "नृत्यानुसंधानम्...Exploring the Journey within" this year. We have commenced our dance classes for all the aspiring students of Bharatnatyam and conducted workshops for the interested students. We aspire to rekindle the love and passion for the culture in the society at large, right till the grassroot level. It is with this strong belief that GaBhaRa explores and ventures in different areas of classical dance and culture. We aim to expand our horizons even further.
Meet Our Team
Vaishnavi Godbole : Founder and Managing Director
Vaishnavi Godbole is a distinguished Indian classical dancer, choreographer, performer, and teacher. She is the visionary Founder and Director of GaBhaRa Productions, Pune. Vaishnavi holds a Nritya Visharad in Bharatnatyam and is currently expanding her expertise in the Vocabulary of Karanas under the guidance of Padma Vibhushan Guru Dr. Padma Subrahmanyam.
In addition to her dance credentials, Vaishnavi has a Bachelor's degree in Sanskrit and is pursuing a Master's in Psychology. She is also a dedicated practitioner of past life regression and hypnosis.
Her passion for the arts extends beyond dance; she is an avid learner of Hindustani classical vocal music and yoga, receiving formal training in both disciplines. Vaishnavi's versatility is evident in her involvement in various aspects of theater, including makeup, costumes, and writing.
Vaishnavi is deeply interested in Indic Knowledge Systems (IKS) and is an active researcher in this field. She has delivered guest lectures and conducted workshops at prestigious institutions such as MIT and IIT Mandi, sharing her insights and findings on IKS. Additionally, she has produced numerous short productions based on her research in Indic Knowledge Systems, further showcasing her commitment to preserving and promoting this rich cultural heritage.
Her multifaceted interests and skills complement her dance career, making her a dynamic and influential figure in the performing arts community.
Dr Madhavi Godbole : Academic Director
Dr. Madhavi Godbole is an accomplished
teacher and researcher, currently heading MIT School of Vedic Sciences. She has a teaching career spanning over 17 years in the field of Sanskrit as well as other aspects of the Indic Knowledge System. She holds vast research
experience in lexicography and Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS). She is a recognized mentor under IKS internship programmes, AICTE, Ministry of Education and Vedic and Scientific Research Foundation, etc. Dr. Godbole has presented 21 papers at international, national and state level conferences. She has a vast writing experience with many research papers, research articles,
editorial experience, in press publications, popular articles and reviews. She has significantly contributed for the course 12 course-books
entitled, Hindu Cultural Studies, published by Shrivedant foundations,
Kenya. She has delivered many guest lectures on national and international levels on different topics such as Stotra literature, Upanishads, Ancient Indian Architecture, Iconography, Ancient Indian Aesthetics, Indian Mind Sciences, Indian Knowledge Systems Etc. She has honoured with awards and prizes for her work.

Tanmay Bhide: Music creator
Tanmay is an accomplished music composer and arranger. He has composed music and background score for a number of feature films including advertisement films for PNG, and has also created various music videos. He has provided music for a number of dance videos including ‘Ghani Andheri Raat’ by GaBhaRa Productions, ‘Barbarik' by Nath Purandare, and Ameera Patankar’s ‘Story from Panchatantra’. He is a concert pianist who has been playing for the past 8 years and passed 6 practical exams from Trinity College, London. He is also a skilled writer and director and has won a number of prizes for writing and directing plays. Tanmay composes and arranges music tracks for GaBhaRa Productions’s videos, and also edits them.
Medini Sonawane: Designer
Medini is a Product Designer by profession with a number of artistic interests and skills. Medini takes care of all our designing needs. Her interests include experimenting with different art mediums such as oil paints, resin, and fluid art. She loves going on adventures, and draws inspiration from them for her work. Her amazing artistic abilities also include cake decoration skills.
Saurabh Sasane: DOP
Saurabh is a highly talented and experienced photographer specializing in fashion and portrait photography. He has worked with a number of accomplished artists such as Spruha Joshi, Prajakta Mali, Addinath Kothare, Suvrat Joshi, Gayatri Datar etc. He has explored extensively in his field and has numerous photoshoots to his name. He has experimented in virtual photography, monochrome portraits, film still photography as well. Saurabh shoots for our dance videos, and for photo shoots. He aspires to attain mastery over all practical applications related to lights, framing, and editing.
Hrishikesh Vidar: Creative writer
Hrishikesh is a skilled writer and a literature enthusiast. He has an impressive body of work which includes editing Sir Parashurambhau College’s first ever online newsletter, writing a number of articles, stories and poems, and working for a newspaper called Tarun Bharat. He has started his own blog, where he writes in both marathi and hindi on a vast number of topics. He writes scripts for dance themes and videos, and is involved in GaBhaRa Production’s publicity as well. He also has an interest in acting and has acted in college level plays.
Currently he is the content writer at the ‘Be Birbal Digital Marketing Ltd’.
